The Jaguar XKR is the sports version of the XK, a 2+2-seater convertible or convertible with a tailgate. It is an update of the model that hit the market in the summer of 2006 since, at the beginning of 2009, it changed its appearance slightly and began to have a more powerful engine.   It has a 5.0 V8 engine with 510 HP. It is the same one that the XFR has. Previously it had a 4.2 V8 with 416 HP.   Accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. It reaches a maximum speed of 250 km/h – it is electronically limited. The approved average consumption continues to be 12.3 l/100 km despite the fact that there is a power difference of 94 HP with the previous model.   The XKR′s 510 hp engine has variable valve timing and meets Euro 5 emissions standards. Torque has increased from 560 Nm to 625 Nm. The XKR has an acoustic filter at the rear of the engine whose outlet is directed to the cabin so that the driver can better perceive the sound of the V8. The air pressure pulsations from the intake manifold enter this filter under certain circumstances - it is controlled by the engine control unit.   The six-speed automatic transmission (ZF) has been beefed up with a more capable converter and additional clutch plates. The change is managed from the paddles located behind the steering wheel or, in automatic mode, through a circular control located between the front seats, the same as the XF. This selector is associated with a new electronic differential.   This box has two automatic modes ("Drive" and "Sport"). In "Sport" mode it makes the engine go at a higher speed. If, for example, the car is cornering, the transmission stays in the same gear as long as possible.   In addition, it has 19 or 20-inch alloy wheels of different designs, two exclusive colors for the body - "Salsa" and "Kyanite Blue" - and chrome inserts on the upper and lower grilles on the front. There are also chrome details around the windows and the tailgate strip.   Inside, the seats vary – it has some, called “R Performance”, with electric adjustments, heating and ventilation –, the instrumentation, the door lining and the upholstery.   THE XKR has four airbags as standard, stability control, double xenon headlights, parking sensors, two-zone climate control and 19-inch alloy wheels, among other elements.
